GED KEARNEY, ASSISTANT MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND AGED CARE: Well good morning everybody. Thank you for coming to my wonderful electorate of Cooper. We are here at the Merri Community Childcare and Kindergarten Centre right in the heart of Cooper because as of July, for every Australian family, early childhood subsidies, our new cheaper childcare policy, kicks in. This is an amazing policy, it will really change lives. It's a game changer. I know for the people of Cooper it means that 6200 families will access cheaper childcare.

PRIME MINISTER, ANTHONY ALBANESE: Good morning.

POOLE: Will you be getting special prime ministerial construction hat today as you walk around?

ANTHONY ALBANESE, PRIME MINISTER: It's fantastic to be here at the construction site for the Coffs Harbour Bypass, the last piece in the puzzle to fully duplicate the Pacific Highway. This project will make an enormous difference. A project which will consist of three channels, will consist of 14 kilometres of road which is fully duplicated, and which will create some 12,000 direct and indirect jobs, take some 12 minutes off the trip by removing 12,000 vehicles, both cars and heavy vehicles from the centre of Coffs Harbour.

ANTHONY ALBANESE, PRIME MINISTER: Well, look, it's fantastic to be here on the Gold Coast Light Rail, travelling, as we are, up towards the electorate of Fadden, towards the end of the line at Helensvale. This has been an incredibly fantastic project and shows the difference that a Federal Government that understands infrastructure and investment can make a difference. And as they are saying, we're on our way to Helensvale. And this stock is where Letitia Del Fabbro works here at Griffith University as a nurse educator.

ANTHONY ALBANESE, PRIME MINISTER: Good morning, Sarah. It was an absolutely glorious day on the coast there yesterday afternoon. I did a tourism roundtable with business leaders firstly there at Burleigh and it was it was very hard to leave I’ve got to say, having woken up in a very frosty Canberra yesterday morning.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will welcome His Excellency Mr Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia and Her Excellency Mrs Iriana Widodo, First Lady, to Sydney from 3 to 5 July.

Indonesia is of vital importance to Australia, as a partner and a neighbour. Underpinned by a warm friendship and strong people-to-people links, our bilateral relationship includes cooperation on climate and clean energy transition, defence, security, economic development, trade, investment and education.
